AMMAN DAY 139 - 141 279km.

Was bloody cold all morning till I dropped down to the Dead Sea, Petra is at 5K feet and the Dead Sea is 1500ft below sea level .
Arrived at Zaina Hotel only to find you have to park on the street so put my cover on the bike and no issues yet and only have one more night then to Iraq.

MONDAY 1st MAY 2023.  AMMAN

Went to King Hussein's car collection which was was quite impressive, a lot of them given to him, that always helps.
Then went to The Royal Tank Museum but was closed so went to the Roman Citadel and wondered around there aimlessly.
Richard and Martin are still here so met them for dinner and caught up on all the BS.
They leave tomorrow for Iraq  with Mark (USA) and the Frenchies.

TUESDAY 2nd May 2023.    DAY  141

Rode up to Jerash which is an hour north and got there nice and early to see some Roman Ruins all by myself, but by the time I left there were about fifteen tour buses, so that worked out well.

I went back to the Tank Museum and it is closed on Tuesday,  apparently all museums ate closed on Tuesday world wide . I explained to the guy that I came yesterday and was told to come back today and that I am leaving tomorrow and really want to see it. He made a phone call and they allowed me in, qwhich I couldn't believe.

This is a South African Eland the same As I drove in the army, except it had a 90mm barrel. You can see the old SA flag on it.
